Italian cinematic funk legends Calibro 35 are always in search of new territories to venture into. Their new journey is called ‘Jazzploitation’: a new EP paying tribute to jazz-funk, rare groove and pshychedelic cinematic-jazz, to be released next October 18th on digital platforms via Record Kicks and on limited edition clear vinyl 7″.

None of the members of Calibro 35 are (or consider themselves) jazz musicians, but over the years jazz has often and significantly inspired them. ‘Jazzploitation’ is not a “jazz record” but an “inspired by jazz” EP in which Calibro 35 pay homage to some of their favorite musicians; from Bob James to Lalo Schifrin, from Piero Umiliani to Miles Davis and Idris Muhammad.The first single taken from the EP is a cover of RAI TV’s legendary ‘Lunedì Cinema (Monday Movie)’ theme, a jazzy disco-funk mover composed by Italian renowned singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla, which features for the occasion the scat singing of Sicilian artist Marco Castello (Nu Genea, Erlend Oye). The new single ‘Lunedì Cinema’ is out on September 16th on all digital platforms and on November 15th also on ltd edition clear 7” vinyl.

On the EP’s tracklist feature also the second single ‘Chaser’, a groovy jazz-funk stormer composed by Piero Umiliani, who originally recorded it for the soundtrack of 1975’s erotic-noir movie ‘The Body’ directed by Luigi Scattini, as well as ‘Nautilus’ by the jazz keyboardist Bob James and ‘Ascenseur pour l’échafaud (Generique)’ by Miles Davis taken from Lous Malle’s film. A total of four jazz-funk numbers that confirm the musicianship of Calibro 35, already proven in over a decade of history.

Described by Rolling Stone as “the most fascinating, retro-maniac and genuine thing that has happened to Italy in the past few years”, Milan-based Calibro 35 enjoy a worldwide reputation as one of the coolest independent bands around. Active since 2007, during their long career they were sampled by Dr. Dre on ‘Compton’ (‘One Shot One Kill’ feat. Snoop Dogg), Jay Z (‘Picasso Baby’), The Child of Lov & Damon Albarn (‘One Day’) and Demigodz (‘The Summer Of Sam’). They played major venues and festivals all over Europe and as unique musicians they collaborated with, amongst others: PJ Harvey, Mike Patton, John Parish, Stewart Copeland and Rokia Traoré.

《忘不了您》是香港歌手譚詠麟發行的第三張粵語專輯。 這張專輯深受歡迎，取得四白金的優異成績，為譚詠麟贏得了多項榮譽，獲得1981-1982年度第六屆香港金唱片頒獎典禮最佳唱片獎。《想將來》獲得了香港電台的十大中文金曲；《天邊一隻雁》獲得十大勁歌金曲獎。《忘不了您》獲得第三屆商業電台歌曲獎。這張專輯不僅奠定了譚詠麟香港樂壇一線歌手的地位，亦在1999年入選了寶麗金《20世紀最強中文大碟》20強之一，譚詠麟共有四張大碟入選20強專輯，入選數量是眾歌手之冠，其餘三張大碟分別為《愛情陷阱》，《愛的根源》及《霧之戀》。

專輯當中改編Air Supply名曲《All out of love》的《小風波》已成為譚詠麟的經典情歌之一；雖然專輯仍以改編英文歌曲為主，但點題作品《忘不了您》卻是改編日本女歌手五輪真弓的《恋人よ》（戀人啊）。這首歌的重要性就是令香港樂迷開始認識日本流行音樂，並掀起了香港樂壇對日本流行曲的改編潮。其他歌曲如《想將來》、《天邊一隻雁》、《尋樂真啱數》、《愛上您》都是十分動聽的作品。另外林敏驄在該專輯正式出道，寫了《想將來》、《情兩牽》和《忘不了您》三首歌，為自己的事業打響頭炮。

Ragnhild Hemsing stands out amongst the rising stars in Norway as a remarkably poised artist.
Her unique upbringing, deeply immersed in the rich folk music traditions of Norway, enables her to be one of the first artists to successfully merge the instantly identifiable characteristics of Norwegian folk music and classical performance in a young, fresh and entirely contemporary fashion.
At only 14 years of age Ragnhild made her debut performing the Mendelssohn Concerto with both, the Bergen Philharmonic and the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. Since then she has performed with all major Norwegian orchestras.

《愛的根源》是香港歌手譚詠麟發行第八張粵語專輯，是譚詠麟中前期的巔峰之作， 這張大碟成為香港流行音樂的指標 。《愛的根源》大碟甫推出，唱片舖反應熱烈幾度出現人龍搶購， 首批來貨即全被掃空！單單1984年度勁歌金曲頒獎典禮，＜愛的根源＞及＜愛在深秋＞得到十大勁歌金曲、最佳歌曲、最佳填詞、最佳編曲、最佳唱片監製、金曲金獎！《愛的根源》大碟創下四十萬張及九連霸的銷量成績（ 資料來源：環球音樂 ） 。專輯中五首歌曲入選了 「勁歌金曲季選」 ，兩首歌曲入選「十大中文金曲」。 專輯中共有8首歌曲先後登上流行榜，《愛的根源》、《夏日寒風》、《愛在深秋》、《誰可改變》、《捕風的漢子》，《都市戀曲》、《我愛雀斑 》和《酒紅色的心》等首首皆為首本名曲。《愛在深秋》也成為譚校長之「校歌」， 在當時全球華人社區廣泛流傳。

與《霧之戀》相比，《愛的根源》在風格上來了一個大的變化，全碟原創及改編歌曲各佔一半，五首原創歌曲當中，三首是香港作曲家創作，兩首是日本作曲家創作。專輯封面，由馮添枝用傻瓜相機於香港九龍的飛鵝山拍攝。此專輯在歌曲質素和流行元素取得較好的平衡，成為很多譚詠麟歌迷的至愛，而專輯的金曲直至現時仍然流行，更有不少歌手翻唱過此專輯中的歌曲。

1997年 十大中文金曲「金曲廿載十大最愛金曲 」獲獎歌曲《愛的根源》（備註：第1屆至第19屆歷屆190首金曲，重新投票後獲最高票數的十首歌曲）。

此大碟對廣東碟影響深遠， 2010年「華語金曲獎」為紀念華語樂壇的輝煌30年（1978 – 2000），廣邀全球100位資深的音樂人、樂評人、電台D.J.等聯合評選，當中包括多位中港台海外知名音樂人，如向雪懷、黎小田、鄭國江、周啓生、林夕、李宗盛，李偲菘等等… 再結合公眾網絡投票，選出華語樂壇30年經典的「30人30歌30碟」。譚詠麟在3項評選中均入選，凸顯他於華語樂壇的經典地位和作品傳承度。30年30人：譚詠麟，30年30歌：《愛在深秋》，30年30碟：《愛的根源》。

《第一滴淚》是香港歌手譚詠麟發行第十一張粵語專輯[1]，譚詠麟與製作組銳意改變風格，芹澤廣明的作曲數量大為減少至2首。首次邀請達明一派的劉以達參與製作，走「歐陸中板風格」的《第一滴淚》和電子樂快歌《刺客》都能帶出耳目一新的感覺。其他中板和快歌如《世界停頓》、《的士司機》、《舊信紙》都沒有再複製過往幾張專輯的曲風；林敏驄包辦曲、詞的《永不想你》亦屬佳作。 《無言感激》是當時興起的自傳式歌曲， 一首答謝歌迷的大熱佳作（中文歌曲龍虎榜連續兩周冠軍），《無言感激》同時入選「十大中文金曲」和年度「十大勁歌金曲」。《珍重》由黃沾填詞，是首旋律動人的送別歌。 專輯中有兩首公益歌曲，『1986國際和平年音樂會』主題曲《和平之歌》及1986禁毒宣傳歌《衝線》，《衝線》作曲人 Donald Ashley 是有「亞洲鼓王」之稱的本地音樂人唐龍。

譚詠麟這次的轉型取得了成功，從上張專輯日本式的勁歌，轉變為較輕快及多元化的曲風，並加入了過半數本地創作，個人形象亦由日本風轉變成歐陸貴族，在口碑上取得了成功。

至於，由神林早人和深澤德作曲的《無言感激》至今還未知是改編自日語歌還是二人為譚詠麟全新創作的歌曲。

Every cellist of renown eventually faces up to the Everest of their repertoire, the solo Cello Suites of J.S. Bach. For Giovanni Sollima, this has been a work of many years in the making, as he explains in a booklet introduction.
As with so many musicians, he suddenly found empty time stretching before him during the pandemic, and this space for reflection and study enabled him to deepen his relationship with music which he has known for decades.

After making a name for himself in recent years as the leader of a cosmopolitan quintet whose energies and hybrid forms are perfectly representative of the young Berlin scene – of which he has been one of the key players for almost a decade – saxophonist and composer Musina Ebobissé is now introducing a new ensemble and a new repertoire that will undoubtedly open up new horizons for his music. Still supported by saxophonist Olga Amelchenko, but propelled by a rhythm section comprised of some of the most prominent musicians on the young French jazz scene, Musina Ebobissé develops, through cleverly labyrinthine compositions, an acoustic and organic music of great lyrical power, at once anchored in the post-Coltranian heritage and in tune with the pulse of the times.

NYC-based pianist Grant Richards is an award-winning performer, composer, and educator able to adapt to a wide range of settings, styles, and genres. A native of Portland, Oregon, Grant began his studies at an early age and was able to thrive in a vibrant and supportive musical atmosphere, aided especially by the guidance of his teachers Eldon Richards, Randy Porter, Gordon Lee, and Thara Memory.

At the age of fourteen, Grant produced and recorded his first album as a leader, comprised entirely of his own pieces and arrangements. Before entering college, Downbeat Magazine honored him with four prestigious Student Music Awards, including Best Solo Instrumentalist (’04), Best Jazz Arrangement (’05/’06), and Best High School Ensemble (’07).
